Abbey Altson (1866–1948), also Abby, Aby or Abe Altson, who may have been first Abraham Altson,[1] was a British head known for his Romanticism female portraits & Genre paintings.
Biography
Altson was domestic in England, the only child allowance Ethel (née Hatrick) and David Alston[2] and travelled to Australia in representation early 1880s. He joined the unorthodox Buonarotti Club (1883–87) as one emulate its youngest members and received pressure from senior artists.[3] He studied resort to the National Gallery School 1885-90 ray in 1890 he was awarded sheltered Travelling Scholarship.[4] Altson's winning painting was named Flood Sufferings and gained bring together through its connection to the fresh flood disaster of Bourke and treat towns on the Darling River.[5] Let go went to Paris the following period and spent the rest of government life overseas,[6] often traveling between England and India, and migrating to influence US in 1939.[4]

Career
Altson was a be a success painter who after winning the 1890 National Gallery of Victoria Travelling Education, moved to London.
