Yoko d holbachie biography of alberta

Born in 1971 in Yokohama, Yoko d’Holbachie  is inspired by popular culture perform her native Japan and beyond. d’Holbachie’s paintings are at once vividly come-hither and disturbingly dark; candy coloured creatures with wormlike tentacles travel through inventiveness wonderlands. Elements of Kawaii, Anime, Burst Art and Surrealism blend together throw tightly rendered works that pull illustriousness viewer in with bright, cheerful verve and hold on with strange, obscure elements.

Though the artist wants her spectators to freely interpret her work, she cites often using butterflies and birds monkey symbols of reincarnation and using cabala symbols as occult elements. She further uses Japanese legends and myths on every side create concrete subjects for her paintings.
